Founded 40 years ago, u3a is for anyone past the point in life when work and / or family take up all of their waking hours. We enjoy learning new things, having fun and leading fulfilling and stimulating lives. And you don't have to be retired to join!

There are 18 u3as in the Derbyshire Network, each providing a range of interest groups and social activities for their members. Each u3a is different, their activities reflect the interests and skills of their own members. Nationally, there are more than 400,000 members in over 1000 u3as, making u3a one of the largest membership organisations in the UK.

On the Our u3as page you will see a list of Derbyshire u3a websites; by clicking on the links you can see what each has to offer, usually under a page headed ‛Groups’. If one u3a does not offer what you want, you can look to see if other local u3as do. There are contact details in each website if you need further information.
